Fish Oil Benefits in Weight Training

Fish Oil Benefits in Weight Training
A new study performed at the Parana Federal University in Brazil examined strength training in females in their 60s. Researchers discovered that while all were able to get stronger, those who took fish oil benefitted with increased strength and muscle gains. While fish oil is a recognized and popular supplement for lowering triglycerides and cholesterol, it does have many other positives, including the improvement of nerve function. therefore, the research team theorizes that fish oil enhances the muscles capacity to contract and respond to weight training. Keeping in mind the small sampling of 45 subjects, more research is necessary to confirm these exciting findings.
